Here Is What PM Modi Wrote After His 45-Hour Meditation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently concluded a 45-hour spiritual retreat at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari.
This visit coincided with the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, providing the Prime Minister with a significant moment of reflection and reaffirmation of his dedication to the nation.
In his note shared by Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, PM Modi described the profound experience of visiting the Vivekananda Rock Memorial.
He wrote, "Visiting the 'Vivekananda Rock Memorial' at Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India, I feel a divine energy."
The memorial, a tribute to Swami Vivekananda, is a place where both Mother Parvati and Swami Vivekananda meditated.
Eknath Ranade transformed this rock into a ‘Shila Smarak’, bringing Swami Vivekananda's thoughts to life.
PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meditate at this revered place, particularly as India embodies Swami Vivekananda's values and ideals.
He described his meditation at the 'Shila Smarak' as an unforgettable moment, feeling deeply connected to 'Ma Bharati' (Mother India).
"Sitting at the feet of 'Ma Bharati', I once again reaffirm my resolve that every moment of my life and every particle of my body will always be dedicated to the service of the nation," he wrote, emphasizing his commitment to India's progress and welfare.
The meditation took place at the Dhyan Mandapam, where Swami Vivekananda is believed to have had a divine vision of 'Bharat Mata'.
This session was not just a personal retreat but also a spiritual reinforcement of PM Modi's dedication to the nation's ideals.
The timing of this meditation, right after concluding an extensive election campaign, highlights his practice of seeking spiritual solace and reflection at significant moments in his political career.
PM Modi's visit to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial came at the end of a rigorous election campaign, which included around 206 events, rallies, roadshows, and about 80 interviews with various media platforms.
This practice of undertaking spiritual journeys post-campaigns has been a hallmark of his political life, underscoring the importance of spiritual reflection in his leadership approach.
