In a historic move, Thailand is set to become the third place in Asia, following Taiwan and Nepal, to legalize same-sex marriage. The Senate's overwhelming approval of the bill on Tuesday marks a significant milestone for LGBTQ+ rights in Southeast Asia, positioning Thailand as a leader in the region. The Senate's vote on the marriage equality bill, which received 130 out of 152 votes in favor, was the final legislative hurdle needed to pass the law.
