61% of US Adults Will Have Some Type of Heart Disease by 2050

The American Heart Association (AHA) has recently released a sobering prediction: by 2050, approximately 61% of US adults will suffer from some form of cardiovascular disease (CVD).  Despite ongoing research, innovation, and the adaptation of new techniques in medical science, heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, claiming around 800,000 lives annually.  This forecast marks a significant escalation in an already dire public health crisis.
