Watch How Mark Zuckerberg Celebrates 4th of July Surfing in a Tux, Waving the American Flag

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has once again captured the internet’s attention with his unique 4th of July celebrations.

This year, he took to Instagram and Facebook to share a video that shows him surfing while wearing a tuxedo and waving the American flag, wishing his users a happy Independence Day.

The video, set against the backdrop of picturesque mountains, features Zuckerberg in an unexpected avatar, departing from his usual casual attire.

In the video, Zuckerberg can be seen effortlessly riding a surfboard, all while sipping a can of beer and sporting a bow tie and golden chain.

This striking image marks a significant departure from his typical grey t-shirt and hoodie, showcasing a notable evolution in his personal style over the past few years.

Zuckerberg's choice of attire, coupled with the Meta RayBan glasses he appears to be wearing, adds a touch of sophistication to his adventurous celebration.

The 37-year-old billionaire’s video not only celebrates America’s 248th Independence Day but also signals his recovery process following an ACL injury.

Zuckerberg captioned his Facebook post with, “Pure 8 month post-recovery surfing with a dry start right here,” indicating his successful healing journey after the surgery.

The video has resonated with many, amassing over 488,990 likes and 16,601 comments on Instagram, as users react to his remarkable recovery and unconventional celebration.

Zuckerberg’s 4th of July videos have become a tradition, with a similar one posted in 2021 showing him hydrofoiling while holding the American flag.

This year’s video, however, takes the celebration up a notch, blending elegance and athleticism in a way that only Zuckerberg could.

As with many of his posts, the internet’s reaction was mixed. Some users praised Zuckerberg’s cool and festive vibe, with comments like “Recovery never looked better” and “Zuck won America day.

King of white boy summer.” Others, however, were more critical, with some mocking the video.

One Instagram user commented, “Tech CEOs after announcing a round of layoffs on July 3rd,” while another humorously noted, “The water’s so cold” me falling every second on the board Zuck - “is it?” Him effortlessly staying standing the whole time.”

The video quickly went viral, extending beyond Meta’s platforms to X (formerly Twitter), where users shared their varied reactions.

Despite the mixed feedback, the video highlights Zuckerberg’s lighter side and his willingness to engage with his audience in unexpected ways.

This celebration comes on the heels of a significant milestone for Meta.

Zuckerberg recently announced that Threads, Meta’s social media platform, now boasts over 175 million monthly active users globally, with India leading in active user engagement.

This growth underscores Threads’ increasing popularity as a space for sharing thoughts and ideas, particularly around topics like film, TV, OTT content, celebrity conversations, and sports in India.

Zuckerberg’s 4th of July surfing video not only celebrates American independence but also reflects his personal journey and Meta’s ongoing evolution in the social media landscape.

Whether you view it as a quirky celebration or a savvy piece of personal branding, it’s clear that Zuckerberg knows how to make waves—both literally and figuratively.
