Preliminary reports suggest that the victims are from the United Kingdom, though official confirmation is still awaited. 

The attack, which took place in the scenic surroundings of Beishan Park, has raised serious concerns about safety and security in popular tourist destinations in China.

A video circulating on social media reveals the gruesome aftermath of the attack, showing the victims writhing in pain on the ground. 

One of the tourists is seen clutching his back, while another is visibly bleeding, indicating that they were attacked from behind with a sharp object. 

The distressing footage captures the chaos and fear that followed the incident, as locals rushed to assist the injured tourists.

Beishan Park, located in the Chuanying district of Jilin City, is a well-known tourist spot famous for its natural beauty and historical significance. 

The park is home to the Jade Emperor Pavilion and the renowned Medicine King Temple, attracting visitors from around the world. 

This brutal attack has cast a shadow over the park's reputation as a peaceful retreat, raising questions about visitor safety in such areas.

The video also shows one of the injured tourists attempting to use a mobile phone lying nearby, while a local resident, also holding a phone, tries to assist another bleeding victim. 

The presence of local people surrounding the injured tourists highlights the immediate community response, yet underscores the shocking nature of the attack in such a public place.

As of now, the exact number of injured individuals remains unconfirmed, and authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. 

It is also unclear whether the attacker has been apprehended. The video has sparked a flurry of reactions online, with many netizens expressing their horror and concern over the violent act. 

Some observers have commented that the incident reflects broader societal issues, suggesting a perceived increase in violence within the country.

This tragic event at Beishan Park is a stark reminder of the potential dangers that can arise even in seemingly safe and serene locations.
