Turkish Student Arrested for Using AI-Powered Cheating Device in University Entrance Exam

In a startling incident that underscores the challenges posed by technology in academic settings, Turkish authorities have arrested a student for cheating during a university entrance exam using a sophisticated AI-powered device. 

The incident took place in the southwestern province of Isparta, where the student was caught behaving suspiciously during the weekend exam.

Upon closer inspection, police discovered the student was using a camera disguised as a shirt button to capture exam questions. 

The camera was linked to artificial intelligence software via a router cleverly hidden in the sole of the student's shoe. 

This setup allowed the AI to generate correct answers, which were then recited to the student through an earpiece.

The arrest was made after the student’s unusual behavior raised the proctors' suspicions, leading to an investigation. 

The police detained the student and another individual who was assisting in the cheating operation. Both have been formally arrested and are awaiting trial.

A video released by the police demonstrates the functionality of the cheating device. 

In the footage, a police officer scans a question, showcasing how the AI software quickly generates the correct answer. 

This high-tech method of cheating highlights the growing sophistication of such tactics, raising concerns about the integrity of academic examinations.

This incident has sparked a broader conversation about the implications of artificial intelligence in educational settings.
