Taliban in Afghanistan Warns Pakistan: Any Incursion into Its Territory Will Have Serious Consequences

Tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have escalated following warnings from the Taliban-led government in Afghanistan regarding potential military actions by Pakistan within Afghan territory. 

This development comes amidst Pakistan's announcement of 'Operation Azm-i-Istehkam,' aimed at targeting sanctuaries of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) across the border.

The Afghanistan Defence Force issued a stern warning, stating that any violation of its national sovereignty, under any pretext, will lead to serious consequences for the perpetrators. 

The statement emphasized accountability for those involved in any incursion and criticized Pakistan's defence minister for his remarks, deeming them unwise and potentially destabilizing.

Pakistan's defence minister, Khawaja Asif, defended the military operation, citing economic pressures and alleging that Afghanistan has been exporting terrorism into Pakistan. 

He justified the operation by claiming that TTP militants, responsible for numerous attacks within Pakistan, are harbored in Afghanistan, thus justifying cross-border actions under international law.
