Rapper Travis Scott Arrested in Florida for Disorderly Intoxication and Trespassing

Rapper Travis Scott, known for his hits like "Goosebumps" and "Sicko Mode," found himself in legal trouble on Thursday, June 20, when he was arrested in Miami, Florida. 

The 33-year-old artist, whose legal name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, was booked into Miami-Dade County Jail at 4:35 am, facing charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing after a warning.

The incident occurred at the Miami Beach Marina, where Scott was on a charter boat and became involved in a disturbance with the crew. 

According to authorities, the rapper was initially asked to leave the marina when officers were called to the scene at 1:44 am. Scott complied at first but returned shortly after, leading to a second confrontation with the crew and refusal to leave when requested by the authorities, which ultimately resulted in his arrest. 

Jail records indicate that a $650 bond was posted for his release.

During the arrest, Scott reportedly walked backwards from the vessel to the boardwalk, shouting obscenities at the occupants of the boat. 

Authorities described his behavior as erratic and noted that it caused a disturbance to the peace of the marina and nearby residential buildings.

Following his arrest, Scott admitted to consuming alcohol and, in a seemingly nonchalant manner, remarked, "It’s Miami." Despite the serious charges, the "Butterfly Effect" rapper appeared unbothered by the incident, responding with a simple "lol" on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The news of Scott's arrest quickly spread across social media, with fans and followers reacting in various ways. 

Some supporters rallied behind the artist with messages like "Free Travis Scott," while others took a more humorous approach, joking about the incident and suggesting potential new album titles such as "Arrested."

This arrest adds to the rapper's history of controversial behavior and legal issues, yet his laid-back reaction indicates that he may not be too concerned about the repercussions. 

As the legal process unfolds, it remains to be seen how this incident will impact his career and public image. 

For now, Travis Scott's latest brush with the law serves as another headline in the ongoing saga of his life both on and off the stage.
