Jurassic World 4: Dinosaur Adventure Set to Shoot in Thailand, Malta, and the U.K.

The beloved Jurassic Park franchise is set to roar back to life with its latest installment, "Jurassic World 4," which promises to take audiences on a thrilling dinosaur adventure.

Universal Pictures has announced that the film will utilize a variety of stunning locations, with principal photography slated to take place in Thailand, Malta, and the U.K.

Directed by Gareth Edwards and produced by the legendary Steven Spielberg along with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, "Jurassic World 4" boasts an impressive cast.

Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and David Iacono are set to bring their talents to this much-anticipated film.

With a script penned by David Koepp, the new movie is described as "a completely fresh take launching a new Jurassic era," focusing on three adults and three teens who find themselves stranded on an island filled with dinosaurs.

Thailand's rich and diverse landscapes will serve as a key backdrop for the film.

The country's Department of Tourism director general, Jaturon Phakdeewanit, confirmed that the month-long production in Thailand will run from June 13 to July 16.

Filming will occur in several picturesque locations including Bangkok, Trang, Phang Nga, Phuket, and Chiang Mai.

A particularly exciting week of production is planned at the Huai To Waterfall in Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, located in Krabi province.

This major international production is expected to bring significant economic benefits to Thailand, estimated at around THB650 million ($18 million).

The influx of spending will come from equipment rentals, accommodation, venue hires, transportation, and catering services.

Additionally, the production is likely to take advantage of Thailand’s 20% production spending rebate, which supports international movies spending more than THB100 million ($2.75 million) in the country.

While Thailand is honored to host the filming, there are strict regulations in place to ensure the protection of its natural resources.

Natural Resources and Environment Minister Phatcharavat Wongsuwan emphasized the importance of compliance with environmental laws to prevent any damage.

The cautionary approach comes from past experiences, such as the production of Danny Boyle’s "The Beach" 25 years ago, which led to over-tourism and significant environmental impact on Phi Phi Island.

Following the Thailand shoot, the production will move to Malta from July to September, facilitated by Latina Productions and Malta Film Studios.

The final phase of filming will take place at Sky Studios Elstree in the U.K., through Saga Productions.

With such diverse locations, "Jurassic World 4" is set to offer a visually spectacular experience.

The film's production is overseen by Kennedy/Marshall, Amblin Entertainment, and Universal Pictures, with a planned release date of July 2, 2025.

Key crew members include cinematographer John Mathieson, 1st Assistant Director Jack Ravenscroft, and casting director Jina Jay.

Executive Vice President of production development Sara Scott and creative executive of production development Jacqueline Garell are overseeing the project for Universal.

"Jurassic World 4" promises to be an exhilarating addition to the iconic franchise, bringing together a stellar cast, breathtaking locations, and a fresh narrative.

Fans can look forward to an epic adventure that stays true to the heart-pounding excitement that has defined the Jurassic series for decades.

As the film gears up for production, anticipation continues to build for what is sure to be a groundbreaking cinematic experience.
