Jaishankar Becomes the First Male Voter at Delhi Booth, Receives Certificate

One such moment unfolded during the Lok Sabha Elections of 2024 Phase 6, as External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S Jaishankar stepped into his designated polling booth in New Delhi district to cast his vote.

With inked finger proudly displayed, he emphasized the importance of voter turnout, highlighting this moment as a decisive one for the nation.

Expressing confidence in the electorate, Jaishankar reiterated his belief that the voters of Delhi would once again throw their support behind the Modi government and its vision of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India). 

This sentiment echoed his earlier statements regarding the BJP's prospects in the elections.

Addressing the media, Jaishankar dismissed speculations about BJP's performance in the southern states, asserting that the party was poised for significant gains across the country. 

Refuting claims of a regional divide, he exuded confidence in the BJP's ability to secure a resounding victory, both in the north and the south.

The minister's remarks also shed light on the BJP's ambitious target of '400 paar' (beyond 400 seats). 

While acknowledging the scale of this goal, Jaishankar emphasized that it was not merely a rhetorical slogan but backed by meticulous planning and strategic calculations. 

He revealed the party's concerted efforts to expand its footprint, reaching out to constituencies where victory seemed elusive in previous elections.

As the electoral process unfolded, Jaishankar's role as the 'first male voter' underscored the essence of democratic participation and the collective responsibility of citizens in shaping the nation's destiny.
